Vinile Italiano '80 is the guide for collectors of Italian New Wave music. It features the discographies of the thousand or more groups that ever released a recording on vinyl, even if only on compilations, and includes the names of the personell, record covers, words and significant images of the period from 1977 to 1989. Each record has a market quotation and an indication of the relevant record review that occurred in the three leading music magazines of the period, Rockerilla, Mucchio Selvaggio and Urlo. Wherever possible, the reflections and thoughts that the bands were expressing about their music at the same time have been included, quoting interview excerpts that their members gave to the magazines or promotional statements from the press releases that accompanied the records being released.
