CHAOS \"Trzy\"

Bands with the name CHAOS can probably be found in every local scene around the world. This is the Warsaw version of CHAOS, and they chose this name for themselves in spite of the fashionable trend at the time for bands to select long and absurd names. They set off in 1987 and just happened to be part of a new chapter in the national punk scene, which coincided with the twilight of communist Poland. The term hardcore became more widely used and offered a new quality through independently released cassettes, networking and the emergence of new bands with a fresh outlook. The demo they left behind is so solidly recorded and well-played that it would be an oversight not to remind us of this important HC band of the late 1980s wave. An excerpt from this session was originally released on a split cassette with H.C.P. on Rebel Art Tapes/Atak Zine in 1989. The whole thing, expanded by one live track, was released as a stand-alone cassette called "Trzy", which was released in several different editions, among others by the band itself and also on Enigmatic Tapes. This vinyl contains only the basic studio material and is accompanied by a booklet with archival photos and a reprint of an interview from the QQRYQ zine. Mastering from the original by Smok and Mario / Studio As One.
